Chen Zhi Climate Action Challenge (“CZ CAC” or “Challenge”)
Effective as of 09th August 2025 (“Effective Date”).
Welcome to the official website of the Chen Zhi Climate Action Challenge. By accessing or using this website, or by participating in the challenge, you agree to the following Terms of Use and Participation.
1. Scope and Agreement
By using this website or submitting any information (such as registration forms, project proposals, or team details), you become a User and agree to these Terms of Use.
If you submit a project proposal as part of the Challenge, you also become a Participant and are bound by the full Terms of Use below.
These Terms of Use represent a binding agreement between the User and CZ CAC.
2. Eligibility
To participate in the CZ CAC, you must:
- Be a Cambodian national or permanent resident
- Be aged between 18 to 30 years old
The organizing team reserves the right to verify your eligibility and disqualify ineligible submissions at any time.
3. Submissions & Participant Responsibilities
By submitting a project to the CZ CAC website, you confirm that:
- You are the original creator(s) of the submitted idea
- You have the legal right to participate in this challenge on behalf of yourself or your team
- All third-party content or tools used in your project have been properly credited or licensed
Submissions that violate intellectual property rights or contain offensive, misleading, or harmful content will be removed or disqualified.
4. Data Collection & Privacy
By registering or submitting information to the CZ CAC, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be collected for the purpose of:
- Communicating with you about the Challenge
- Reviewing and evaluating submissions
- Promoting participation or results related to the program
- Internal reporting and impact evaluation
Personal data will be securely stored and only used for the purposes stated above. CZ CAC does not sell, trade, or share personal data for commercial purposes. For more information, please refer to the Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Participants retain ownership of the ideas, concepts, and content they submit. However, by entering the Challenge, Participants grant CZ CAC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Feature project details, names, and visuals in communication materials (e.g. social media, reports, videos)
- Publicly share success stories or project summaries for educational or advocacy purposes
- Use photographs or recordings taken during the program for promotional use
- Proper credit will always be given to the individuals or teams involved.
6. Fair Use & Code of Conduct
All Users and Participants agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information
- Post content that is harmful, defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful
- Violate the rights of others (including privacy and intellectual property)
- Disrupt or misuse the website or submission process
The organizing team reserves the right to investigate and take action on any breach of these terms, including disqualification or removal from the platform.
7. Selection Process & Awards
Eligible project submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Finalists and awardees will be selected based on:
- Innovation and creativity
- Feasibility and practicality
- Environmental and social impact
- Team commitment and readiness
All decisions of the judging panel are final. CZ CAC reserves the right to adjust timelines, judging criteria, or award structures when necessary.
8. Third-Party Resources
This website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. CZ CAC is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.
9. Limitation of Liability
CZ CAC and its team are not liable for:
- Any damages or loss resulting from the use of this website
- Any technical failures or delays in submission processing
- The implementation or outcomes of selected projects
Participation is voluntary and at the sole discretion of the Participant. The Challenge is provided "as is" with no guarantees of future support beyond the scope of the program.
10. Termination
CZ CAC may suspend or terminate any User’s access to the website or participation in the Challenge if a breach of these Terms of Use occurs. Users may also withdraw from the Challenge by notifying the organizing team via the official email.
11. Changes to Terms of Use
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Participants will be informed of significant changes using the contact details provided during registration. The most recent version will always be available on this website.
